Christmas Story Stair Riser Decals | Nativity Bible Verses

These Christmas Story stair riser decals share the Bible verses of the nativity, mostly from Luke 2, one line on each stair. Starting with "For unto us a child is born" and ending with "Emmanuel, God with us," the story of the first Christmas unfolds as you climb.

Picture reading the words with your children, sharing the Christmas story with your grandchildren, or pausing on a busy December day to remember why you celebrate. With decorative lettering and an optional nativity scene decal, this set brings your faith into your Christmas decorating in a beautiful, personal way. It's a meaningful piece of religious Christmas decor your family will look forward to every year.

The Christmas Story Bible Verses

Place the lines from the bottom stair up:

For unto us a child is born
And she brought forth her firstborn son
And laid him in a manger
And there were shepherds abiding in the field
Keeping watch over their flock by night
And the angel said unto them, Fear not
I bring you good tidings of great joy
For unto you is born this day
In the city of David a Saviour
Which is Christ the Lord
Glory to God in the highest
And on earth peace, good will toward men
Emmanuel, God with us

Stair Riser Decal Sizes 📏

For 36-inch-wide stairs:

• Lines are about 17.5 to 34 inches wide
• Each line is about 2 inches tall

For 48-inch-wide stairs:

• Lines are about 24 to 46 inches wide
• Each line is under 3 inches tall

Line widths change with the wording. The size you pick is the width of your staircase, not the width of every line.

🚨 Measure the flat area of your stair risers before you order.

Optional Nativity Scene Decal

• A nativity silhouette with the manger scene
• 17 inches wide x 4 inches tall when arranged as shown
• Same size for either lettering set
• Only included when you choose a "With Nativity" option
• Cut between the figures before you apply them to rearrange the scene or spread the pieces across different stairs

How to Apply Your Christmas Stair Decals 🪄

Each line arrives pre-spaced on transfer tape, so there are no single letters to line up. Place each line on its own stair riser.

1. Slowly peel off the backing paper. Make sure all the lettering stays on the transfer tape.
2. Press the decal onto a clean, smooth stair riser. Rub firmly with a credit card or tennis ball.
3. Slowly peel away the transfer tape, and voilà! Your decal looks painted on.

Where These Stair Decals Work Best

• Works on smooth painted or finished stair risers, glass, mirrors, acrylic, and other smooth surfaces
• NOT for textured walls, unfinished wood, or fabric
• Single-use decals; they can't be reused after removal
